      Alexander died during WWI as a Private in the 10th Bn. Highland LightInfantry. He is buried in Belgium.

      The cemetery is located in Lagemark, north of the town of Leper off theN313. From the Markt take the Korte Ieperstraat, at the crossroads turnright into Boezingestraat, after 500 metres take the first turning leftinto Ieperstraat. Follow this road to the T junction a tthe end, turnright into Briekstraat, 1st left still Briekstraat, take agin the 1stturning left called Hemelrijkstraat. The cemetery is 200 metres alongthis road on the left hand side.

      The name Minty Farm was probably adopted during its occupation by aWiltshire Unit. It was, at one time, used as a German blockhouse and in1917 as a company headquarters for Commonwealth forces. The cemetery wasbegun in October 1917 and used until April 1918 by units fighting on thatfront. More than a third of the graves are of officers and men of theRoyal Artillery. Minty Farm Cemetery contains 192 WWI burials. [1]
