      In 1881 census, Barbara, listed incorrectly as age 13, is located onCrescent Street in Halkirk in the home of Barbara Mill, her 70 year oldgrandmother, Margaret Mill, her 29 year old unmarried Aunt, and RobertSutherland, her 9 year old cousin who was born in Queensferry, Linlithgow.

      In 1901, Barbara is located on her own with children Isabella, Barbara,Agnes, John and Christina living on Old Lawn, Broxburn. Her parents inlaw, John Easton and Helen Fleming also live on Old Lawn in 1901, as doher sister-in-law Helen Fleming White and her husband Peter White.Presumably her husband William, who dies in 1903, is sick. [1]
